VAN NUYS, Calif.—Dream Zone Entertainment, a new adult studio based in Porn Valley, announces shooting dates for the next best-selling XXX porn parody: a sexy spoof of the hit ’90s sitcom Roseanne. Production will start this weekend, March 13-14, in California.
Roseanne aired from 1988 to 1997 and tackled a number of controversial subject matters during its impressive ratings reign. More than a decade after the hit show went off the air, Dream Zone is now filming a parody about the quintessential working-class Midwestern family, the Connors. Roseanne XXX will have the same cast of characters: Roseanne (played by BBW actress, model and performer Kelly Shibari), Dan, Darlene, Becky, D.J., boyfriend David and sister Jackie.
"I'm thrilled to have been asked to play Roseanne. She's such an iconic figure, and I know everyone in my generation loved the show. I hope I can do her and the character justice,” says Shibari.
Dream Zone believes what will set this parody apart from the influx of XXX spoofs this year is that the movie revolves around a BBW performer. Adds Shibari, "There aren't that many successful sitcoms in American television that featured a plus-sized gal as the lead character. For Dream Zone and the director to ask me to play the part of Roseanne is very, very cool … and I'm looking forward to meeting my on-set ‘family’ to see what trouble we can all get into!
"I've been told by David [Gross] as well as many ex-boyfriends that playing Roseanne wouldn't be a stretch for me," Shibari added. "I'm sure they meant that I was a ballbuster, and I take that as a compliment!"
Directing Roseanne XXX is prolific porn lensman Jim Enright. Over the past 20-plus years, Enright has shot or produced for Pleasure Productions, VCA, Wicked, Club Jenna and other studios.
Roseanne XXX will be shot entirely in HD, and is the first of many adult parodies scheduled to street this year from the new studio. Dream Zone Entertainment will be distributed exclusively by Vantage Distribution. To place an order for any Vantage product, contact David Gross at (818) 305-6790.
