ACLJ vs. ACLU: Fooling The Times
While researching the Michael Mukasey story, I found this telling correction in the New York Times:
Correction: Attorney General Story

WASHINGTON (AP) -- In a Sept. 17 story about the nomination of Michael Mukasey for attorney general, The Associated Press erroneously described the American Center for Law and Justice as a liberal-leaning group. The group is conservative-leaning.
See? Even the New York Times -- "the newspaper of record" -- and the Associated Press occasionally fuck up and think Pat Robertson's theocon "American Center for Law & Justice" (ACLJ) is actually the actual "liberal-leaning" American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). And those ACLJ assholes have the nerve to say they chose their name without it even crossing their minds that they would be confused with the ACLU?
Right!
