New Vivid Girl Has Master’s Degree in Museum and Gallery Studies

Vivid Signs A.J. Bailey to Exclusive Contract

LOS ANGELES – Vivid Entertainment Group has signed Missouri native A.J. Bailey to an exclusive performance contract, making her the newest Vivid Girl.

Bailey, who was born and raised in St. Louis, is making her return to the industry with Vivid. She performed in a handful of girl/girl scenes in 2006 before leaving the industry to pursue her Master’s Degree. The 28-year-old who now resides in San Antonio did the first boy/girl scene of her career on May 4 with Alex Gonz in a movie directed by B. Skow.

“I really wanted to move to boy/girl, and I really wanted to get a contract to do that so I set out to do that right away, and I guess I was in the right place at the right time,” Bailey told AVN.

The 5-foot-8 blonde, blue-eyed starlet said that she actually talked to Vivid in 2006 about a possible contract, “but I knew I was going away to school, not to mention I was really into girl/girl in my personal life at the time.”

Things happened fast once she decided to return.

“It was pretty instant,” she said. “I could tell it was going to be a good fit, because I have a lot of respect for Vivid. The cosmos were aligned for me that day.”

Bailey’s contract calls for seven movies over the course of a year. In addition to working with Gonz, she also did a three-way with Evan Stone and Danny Mountain and another b/g with Billy Glide in her Vivid debut.

“I don’t know anything about the male talent but of course everything gets a stamp of approval from me,” she said before the shoot. “I trust Vivid. ... We just want to have some hot fucking sex. All the guys are hot so I’m stoked.”

Bailey, whose credits include Michael Ninn’s Sacred Sin and Soloerotica as well MattsModels.com and WeLiveTogether.com, said coming back to adult was an easy decision.

“I love it. I never had so much fun doing something in my life as when I did porno,” she said. “It was actually sort of hard to leave the first time. But my experience getting a Master’s Degree was phenomenal. It was amazing.”

She continued, “I still got it. I’m hot and I have a lot to offer. I’m not married, no children. I’m ready to still be out there and have a ton of fun and be crazy and fuck a lot.”

Bailey went to St. Andrews University in Scotland to earn her Master’s in Museum and Gallery Studies.

“It’s in the field of art history, but it’s more anthropology and museum administration, cultural history and artifacts,” said Bailey, who got her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from the University of Missouri. “I’m really sort of interested in culture and history in general. In the field of museum studies it puts all this history and culture into your hands and you become a caretaker. ... I wrote my thesis in a castle on the coast of Scotland.”

She said that eventually she’ll call upon her education for a career after porn.

“Definitely at some stage in my life. It’s definitely one of those jobs that’s more for passion and the love of the job than for the money and the glory for sure,” she said. “I’m not going to become rich and famous as a curator or collections manager. One day I’d like to settle in and be a caretaker of something. I’m particularly interested in historic sites.”

Bailey, a former waitress at college bars who likes watching basketball, said she actually is “really nerdy.” She revealed that she’s a classic movie buff who likes to read, cook, hike, camp and fish. Her specialty in the kitchen is international cuisine, which she learned how to prepare while living in Scotland with her multinational group of friends.

“I also make a mean meatloaf,” she joked.
