Despite the cancellation of the Venus Paris expo earlier this year, organizers of the upcoming 2007 Venus Berlin fair announced today in a press release that exhibitor attendance is up.
"We had to acknowledge the fact that the industry currently does not wish to have another trade fair," said Fair Manager Peter Bübel. "The Venus Berlin has established itself so well that both exhibitors and trade dealers from all over the world are concentrating exclusively on the exhibition in Berlin. Proof of this can also be seen in the current registration status as regards exhibitors at the Venus 2007 – an increase of more than 40% [since 2006]."
Among the additions to this year's Venus Berlin fair are a lingerie area with a catwalk for exhibitors to present fashion shows, and an expanded area dedicated to online porn.
"We have just set up a new press service for the industry," added Bübel. "Via our press portal, all exhibitors can now present their latest and most innovative products to the media around the world. All an exhibitor has to do is send us the photos and texts and our press department will prepare them for more than 400 newspapers in 22 languages."
Hustler founder Larry Flynt and porn superstar Tera Patrick are both confirmed to appear as guests at the expo, which takes place October 18-21.
