Taylor Wane fans may have wondered why her output of adult fare has diminished recently, but it's only because the voluptuous blonde has been getting work on the other side of the hill, with four mainstream titles due to be released in 2009.
"In State of Play
, which stars Ben Affleck, Russell Crowe and Rachel McAdams," Wane told AVN, "I play the head mistress of a sordid sex club that the Feds are investigating because of some murders. It's based on a BBC mini-series where a team of news reporters work with a police detective to solve the killing of a congressman's mistress."
Wane has also had a variety of sexy roles in other upcoming movies. For instance, she plays a Playboy Playmate in a scene with a Hugh Hefner look-alike in the dramatized version of British talk-show host David Frost's interviews with former president Richard Nixon titled (surprise, surprise) Frost/Nixon
, directed by Ron Howard; a dancer in A Beautiful Life
, which stars Dana Delaney, Bai Ling and Debi Mazar; and a similar role in The Girl From The Naked Eye
, about a man (Jason Yee) investigating the death of his girlfriend, a 16-year-old call girl at the Naked Eye club.
, Wane said, "It was a really exciting experience to be on a Ron Howard set and to be in such a great film."
Wane has also been featured in various episodes of such TV shows as "Nip/Tuck," "Gene Simmons' Family Jewels" and the Fox Reality channel series "My Bare Lady."
But that's not all! Taylor's been busy recording her own music in preparation for the debut of her first CD later this year, and she just contributed her version of the Doris Day favorite "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" to the "Rock 4 X-Mas" charity fundraising album, which will also feature works by Rick Derringer, Spencer Davis, Gary Hoey & Joe Lynn Turner, John Ford, JK Northrup & Michael Vescera, Tommy Moody, Uncle Frank, Nite Crue Band and several more.
And finally: "I was pleasantly surprised last year when I received an award from the U.S. Navy Seals, in honor of my support for the troops," Wane reported. "It came with an official certificate and an American flag which was flown over Iraq for 24 hours in my honor, and once taken down, it was encased in an engraved display box for me. To thank the guys for this great honor, I shot a poster dressed in U.S. Navy Seal gear and I sent it to them. The posters are available for sale
on my site
, and all proceeds go to the Disabled American Veterans charity.
"I support a lot of charities, and DAV is very close to my heart," she continued. "I could never be grateful enough or thankful enough for what the servicemen sacrifice for our freedom. They have courage like most of us will never know."
Taylor's busy updating her Website, adding new features and easier navigation.
"I've had my site for 14 years now, and it was about time for a complete revamp," she said. "It's going to be a very exciting new look to the site, but still with tons of fantastic, great quality content."
