LOS ANGELES—Tristan Taormino, the sex educator and award-winning Vivid-Ed director, will team up with adult performer Adrianna Nicole to headline the grand opening party for Denver's new sex toy retailer, Smitten Kitten. The party gets under way at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 24 at 70 Broadway.

The welcome for Smitten Kitten actually starts with a celebration at 7 on Thursday, April 22 (Earth Day), with "ecosexy" giveaways and specials continuing into the weekend and culminating with the party on Saturday. Everyone (18 years and older) is invited.

Denver's location is the second store for Smitten Kitten, a multiple award-winning, progressive adult sex toy and equipment retailer specializing in the highest quality, safest and smartest selection of products available. The original location has been operating in Minneapolis since 2003.

Smitten Kitten will be selling the movies of Taormino and Nicole at a 40 percent discount and both women will be on hand to meet fans and sign copies of their DVDs. Taormino has directed Nicole in several films, including AVN-Award winning The Expert Guide to Oral Sex 2: Fellatio, The Expert Guide to Anal Sex, Chemistry 4 and Tristan Taormino's Rough Sex. 

All other merchandise in the store will be available at a 20 percent discount on all merchandise in the store until April 25.

Tasty treats and assorted refreshments, including cupcakes by a local organic baker Lovely Confections Bakery, will be served at the grand opening party.

Smitten Kitten creates a welcoming, affirming and education-based sex toy shopping experience for its customers. The diverse consumer-base has learned to expect hard-to-find, hand-crafted toys as well cutting-edge, sex positive information and resources.

In 2003, the founders of Smitten Kitten formed The Coalition Against Toxic Toys (CATT) a consumer advocacy group that strives to bring awareness and change to the sex toy industry. All Smitten Kitten employees are trained in sex education and the store is known for its daily outreach events, working with clinicians, mental health practitioners, and universities.
