CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Alexandra Silk and Luc Wylder will appear on Playboy Radio’s Night Calls Monday night to discuss the completion of their sex surrogate training by the International Professional Surrogates Association.
IPSA is an organization that provides education, referral and support to a worldwide community of professionals in the field of surrogate partner therapy. IPSA’s surrogate training is based on the successful methods of Master & Johnson.
The training is for individuals who want to become certified sex surrogates and therapists who want to enhance their clinical skills to learn more about sex therapy and surrogate partner therapy.
“It’s very soulful and rewarding work we are doing,” Wylder said. “We work with clients with a wide range of sexual dysfunctions. There’s a desperate unrecognized need for this type of health care in our society. Promoting sexual health has been my primary objective since I first entered the adult industry.”
Silk and Wylder, a real-life couple, are both AVN Hall of Famers. Silk was named Female Performer of the Year at the 2000 AVN Awards and Wylder, was inducted in the AVN Hall of Fame last year.
The couple also operates Fallen Angel, a niche production company that features series on strippers (Dirty Dancers), cream pies (Internal Affairs), erotic fetish from a woman’s perspective (The Silk Series) and BDSM (The Masters Choice) among others.
“Many people don’t understand what a sex surrogate is,” Silk explained. “The simple way to explain it is, it’s the perfect ménage a trios—a therapist, a client and a sex surrogate or in other terms, a surrogate partner. I am hired only through a professional therapist. This three person therapeutic team has a long-term goal for the client to develop healthy relationships with physical and emotional intimacy…I offer experiences of shared physical intimacy to facilitate in the development of healthy concepts of self esteem and improve their sexual function. It’s a gradual skill building and healing process which requires time and practice.”
Night Calls, co-hosted by Christy Canyon and Nicki Hunter, can be heard Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m. on Sirius/XM channel 99. Listeners can call in to speak to Silk or Wylder Monday night by dialing (877) 205-9796.
