HOLLYWOOD—The Hardest (Working) Man in Showbiz celebrates his 57th birthday today, and is showing no signs of slowing down his perpetual reaching for the stars.
Ron Jeremy spoke with AVN twice recently about his billing in mainstream projects alongside Hollywood celeb—namely Megan Fox and the just-passed Corey Haim.
"You do these low-budget movies, and you never know what it's gonna be," Jeremy said. "I'm getting phone calls from TMZ and National Enquirer that I'm in a film with Megan Fox. And I'm going, 'What the hell is this?' It's called Whore, and it's a low-budget film that I did—I played a priest, I had a pretty funny part. I shot it at an apartment building with a couple of young kids, it was non-union, and it was just a little love thing, and the next thing I know, I am in the film and I do remember being in it, and there it is with my name on the box cover and everything!"
Whore was written, directed by and stars Thomas Dekker, who played John Connor on the TV show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It also stars Rumer Willis, daughter to Bruce, Jeremy was sure to note. According to IMDb.com, it was released in 2008, but it does not seem to yet be available on DVD.
As to Corey Haim, Jeremy boasted that he co-starred in two of the fallen star's final pictures.
"One was actually with him ... we did a scene actually together," Jeremy reported. "And Tiffany Shepis plays a girl I seduce—she's like a B scream queen. She was going to marry him, they were engaged to get married. It wound up not working out, they did not get married, but she convinced him to be in the film. She said, 'Come on, be in a film with your fiance and Ron Jeremy,' and he agreed to do it."
The name of that movie is New Terminal Hotel, and it has not yet been released. The other one, however, hit theaters last year and featured cameos by a number of porn stars—Crank: High Voltage was the film, and in addition to Jeremy, Jenna Haze and Nick Manning made appearances.
Ron, AVN wishes you another great one, and to paraphrase Casey Kasem, don't ever stop reaching for those stars!
