Nectar Entertainment has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Queensway Film Distribution to distribute their catalog in the United Kingdom.
As part of the deal, which was signed earlier this month by Nectar CEO Sean Logan during a trip to London, Queensway will prepare each title to meet the stringent content requirements of the UK market.
Queensway intends to release two versions of each title, one rated R18 and a softer version rated 18, destined for adult retail and mainstream stores respectively.
“We’re confident that we’ve found the perfect partner in Queensway to ensure that our catalog is well represented in the UK,” Logan told AVN.com. “They have an impressive distribution network, and their eagerness to represent our product makes us feel more than comfortable that they will leverage their knowledge of the British market to our mutual advantage.”
The British distributor has already begun offering Nectar titles, releasing the AVN Award nominated Welcome to the Valley last week.
Queensway managing director Stuart Inglis was ecstatic that Nectar has joined their roster of exclusive licensors. “Nectar Entertainment produces adult movies of superior quality that we anticipate will receive an enthusiastic welcome from both adult retailers and consumers in the UK,” he said.
Queensway Film Distribution is also the exclusive UK licensor of Digital Sin, Mercenary Pictures, Red Light District, Zero Tolerance and 3rd Degree.
