Porn star and ex-California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey will appear on the Fox network's "Your World with Neil Cavuto" to discuss her conflict with singer Mariah Carey. The show airs from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
A recent letter from the pop diva’s attorneys threatened Carey with legal action when the porn star filed an application to trademark her name. “I didn’t expect that this would become such a big story,” the Legend contract girl said. “My lawyer and I were really surprised when we heard from Mariah. I’ve been Mary Carey for about four years. Mariah had to have heard of me before this; why didn’t she say anything about it until now?”
Mary Carey applied for the trademark in order to fight escort services and other agencies making illegal use of her nom de porn. “I plan on being Mary Carey for a lot longer,” she said. “The name suits my personality; I’m a happy, bubbly girl. My lawyer thinks we’re going to win this, so I’m going ahead with the application.”
“Based on Mariah’s acting in Glitter, I think I’m a better actress,” the 26-year-old starlet joked. “I think I’m going to have to make a movie making fun of Mariah Carey now. She’s really set herself up for it. Somebody told me that Mariah Carey’s a bigger slut than I am…but I probably have her beat in that category.”
Mary Carey’s latest movie is Mary Carey’s On Fire (Legend).
