Carey and manager David Weintraub decided to switch agencies in the wake of her high-profile appearance on the VH1 reality TV series "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." Carey will be seen in a follow-up series called "Sober House" premiering on VH1 in February 2009.
"We chose Pure Talent as they are leaders in the adult club industry, and with Mary's ever-changing, evolving mainstream career we want to make sure she is working with the best," said Weintraub.
"I am really excited to be working with Pure Talent," said Carey. "I think they are the most professional agents out there. Now that I've got so much going on in my career, I thought it was time for a new agent, and Pure Talent is the perfect fit."
Carey starred in more than 100 adult videos. Kick Ass Pictures owner Mark Kulkis made her a tabloid celeb when he masterminded her run for California governor during the 2003 recall election. She attempted to repeat the publicity stunt in 2006, but dropped out of the race to care for her mother.
