Good Friday Mass Interrupted by 'Girls Gone Wild'
PHILADELPHIA — A Bucks County woman called cable provider Comcast early Friday morning to complain about a 30-second "Girls Gone Wild" ad that abruptly appeared during the broadcast she was watching of the Good Friday Mass at the Vatican, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

The "GGW" interruption came at approximately 2 a.m. and was the result of an emergency broadcasting test gone afoul.

"We're obliged to do emergency tests that are usually done in the overnight hours," said Comcast spokesperson Jeff Alexander. Said tests automatically switch viewers to a pre-selected channel that is supposed to provide emergency information, Alexander explained. In this case, however, what the channel happened to be airing was the offending ad.

The woman's complaint was the only one received by Comcast about the slip-up, Alexander said.
