CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Adam & Eve has kicked off the promotional campaign for its May 20 release of the big-budget feature Carolina Jones and the Broken Covenant with an online contest for consumers, co-sponsored by SugarDVD.
“We are launching this massive contest for people to create their own two-minute video clip and send it to the website carolinajonesxxx.com,” said sales and marketing v.p. Peter Reynolds.
The winning video, chosen by consumers voting on the site, will appear among the extras on the Carolina Jones DVD.
The point is to shoot a scene—with no nudity—“based on how they interpret the movie from what they see at carolinajonesxxx.com,” Reynolds said.
“We want people to navigate the site and come up with their own fun interpretation of the movie in a 120-second video. We’ll see what kind of crazy creative stuff we get.”
The do-it-yourself videos should be no more than two minutes in length. Entrees must be submitted by April 15. Adam & Eve will post one new video each day for 10 days beginning April 16.
Online voting will begin of April 16, with consumers being asked to choose the top video that will appear on the DVD.
The grand prize is threefold: the video’s presence on the DVD, an Apple MacBook and 25 of Adam & Eve’s top selling releases. Five runners up will also get prizes, including souvenir boomerangs and Carolina Jones posters.
Carolina Jones and the Broken Covenant, shot in Hungary by director Ethan Kane, stars contract girls Ava Rose and Bree Olson, AVN’s 2008 Starlet of the Year.
