AEBN Launches National TV Campaign for Movie Monster

AEBN launched the beginning of a nationwide, late-night television advertising campaign December 26 to support marketing of its MovieMonster.com domain, a web-based service that allows users to watch more than 40,000 adult movies on their computers.

The campaign uses an original 30-second tongue-in-cheek commercial created in-house by AEBN, featuring adult star Amber Lynn using a strawberry to tease Randy West. Viewers are encouraged to log on to MovieMonster.tv to receive a free 30-minute trial.

The initial launch will hit several test markets and the campaign will be rolled out nationwide and internationally after initial results are evaluated.

“The strawberry commercial is great fun and we are anticipating a tremendous response,” said Harvey Kaplan, executive vice president of AEBN. “We chose the holiday period for our first test because it’s a heavy TV viewing time. We can gauge its effectiveness instantly by how much bandwidth is pulled from the dot-tv domain name. We will then roll out the commercial nationwide on both broadcast and cable in a planned phase-in that increases traffic at a scaleable rate.”

The commercial will air 10 to 12 times a night during the midnight to 5 a.m. timeslot in each of the test markets, which will be selected next week.
