was hacked late last week, and a "lovable Turkish hackers' group" has claimed responsibility.
Those who visited the sites of ICANN and the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority were redirected to an Atspace.com account, where the following message was posted:
"You think that you control the domains, but you don't! Everybody knows wrong. We control the domains, including ICANN! Don't you believe us?"
The note was signed by NetDevilz, a group that has been responsible for other recent high-profile hacks, including those of Photobucket and RedTube.
The attack came just after ICANN heads unanimously voted to allow the creation of new top-level domains, beyond the 21 currently available.
