Mickey’s Quickies | Brittany Coxx Battles Liver Disease, Tom of Finland is Saved, Van Damme Heads to the Spa, More

There’s sad news to report about transgendered adult performer Brittany Coxx: According to David Forest, for three months she has been in and out of hospitals battling Hepatitis B and now liver disease. Currently she is in Edward White Hospital, near friends and family in St. Petersburg, Fla. Forest, who has acted as agent for both Coxx and her former self, the gay adult performer Stonie, said doctors are not ruling out the need for a liver transplant.

As the popular gay porn pup Stonie, Coxx made more than 60 movies between 2000 and 2007, including quite a few for Paul Barresi’s Regiment Films. She switched sexes last year and continues to perform in adult venues.

Stonie’s was considered one of the hottest asses in the business since Joey Stefano’s. Prior to his transformation, he told me he thought he would classify himself bisexual. He was always in love with the thought of becoming a woman, though, despite his prodigious eight-inch penis, which looked much bigger on his skinny frame.

Then he hit the big time in a cameo as Sascha Baron Cohen’s son in the film Borat.

Forest said Coxx sounded upbeat and “her usual sassy self” during recent conversations. “I assured Brittany that everyone is rooting for her full recovery,” he noted.

Durk Dehner, the Tom of Finland performer-director and curator of the famed porn collection, reports “the foundation is not losing our headquarters, the home of the collection for the past 25 years.” He said the organization has raised the $25,000 it needed to prevent foreclosure because many fans and porn friends came to their aid.

“It almost seems it took this level of a crisis to wake everyone up to the peril that not only us but all of our community’s organizations can fall into if they are not given the financial backing,” he said.

Longtime GAYVN Awards judge and renowned playwright Robert Patrick has opened his extensive theater archives to the In the Life gay perspective television series. Over a slew of interviews, Patrick is telling stories about the underground gay theater movement which paved the way for gay porn. The two sectors often overlapped. So far Patrick has discussed underground artist Magie Dominic and the history of Caffe Cino, and he detailed how male frontal nudity presented onstage was groundbreaking at the time.

• On Friday, performer-director Robert Van Damme will help Midtowne Spa celebrate its 37th anniversary at its Los Angeles location. Van Damme plans to mingle with guests after performing an erotic dance routine at about 9 p.m. Oh, and there’s an all-you-can eat buffet!

• Forest is booking a second Mark Dalton dancing tour from November through January. The gay-for-pay performer reportedly is making fans happy since his release from jail.

• Bel Ami found another pair of amazingly hot Czech brothers who are willing to perform on camera. Milo and Elijah Peters are twins who love playing around with other guys—and each other. The studio said they will be featured in upcoming titles.

• Anthony Rose, formerly an award-winning director of bisexual adult content, has created a series of mainstream webisodes under the FenceSitter Films banner. • Sharon Kane’s appearance (with me) at the Pasadena School of Art & Design was such an overwhelming success the professor wants her to come back. Students loved hearing stories about Kane’s work in the 1970s and how the art and design of porn has changed, as well as her musical input into some porn classics. She showed clips of Revenge of the Bi-Dolls which remains the most award-winning bisexual porn series in history. Students howled at Kane as the drug-addicted Ceily Fontana sparring with Chi Chi LaRue as a maniacal nurse.
