Gay Adult Studios Receive WeHo Awards Nominations

Channel 1 Releasing and BangBangBoys are among the nominees.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Channel 1 Releasing and BangBangBoys are among the gay adult companies that have received nominations for the 8th Annual WeHo Awards.

 

The awards recognize outstanding achievements in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community of the greater Los Angeles area. Awards are presented in 34 categories, each one honoring organizations, businesses, events and individuals for their continuous commitment to excellence. Nominations are submitted by community members.

 

BangBangBoys is vying for the title of Best Adult Website. Channel 1 Releasing received five nominations: Chi Chi LaRue's boutique and parent company Channel 1 for Best Adult Business, Live and Raw for Best Adult Website and LaRue herself for Best Drag Diva and Best DJ.

 

"I am beyond thrilled about all the nominations we received," LaRue said. "But I'm most excited about the nomination of my store, Chi Chi LaRue's, because we've all been working so hard."

 

The awards will be presented Jan. 15 during a gala black-tie celebration at the Avalon Nightclub in Hollywood.

 

The WeHo Awards garner the participation of about 6,000 people in the Los Angeles area, according to a statement released by the fund-raising organization's board of directors.
