You already know that Stacy Valentine walked away as the Best American Actress, Tera Patrick as Best American New Starlet, and Michael Ninn as Best American Director. But?the question before the house remains, so how did the rest of the Hot d'Or Awards outside Cannes shape up this week? They were handed out May 17 and here we go with the rundown on the showdown, courtesy of AVN Managing Editor Ken Wood from Mandalieu? - Editor. nrnThis is how the Hot d'Or awards shaped up this week. nrnRocco Siffredi presented the award for boxcover to L'Esclave des Sens from Video Marc Dorcel. Rocco also presented the best screenplay to L'Emerdeuse by Fred Coppula from Blue One. The award for best adapation went to Les Tontes directed by Alan Payet from Blue One. Best American New Starlet went to Tera Patrick who said, "This is my first award so I'm very nervous." She thanked Hot Video and Digital Playground. nrnBest New European Starlet went to Meridian who thanked Hot Video, Wicked Pictures and Steve Orenstein; Private, Video Marc Dorcel and a special thanks to Richard Mailer, "The man I owe my heart to." nrnBest French New Starlet went to Estelle Desanges. Best European supporting actor went to Marc Barrow for Hot Dorix, distributed by Colmax. Best European supporting actress went to Silvia Saint who thanked Hot Video and Video Marc Dorcel. Best American Pro-Am series went to Le Voyeur, John Leslie's series distributed by Video Marc Dorcel. Best European Pro-Am series went to Euro Anal [Angels in the U.S.]. Christophe Clark accepted the award thanking David Perry who made the videos what they were; and a special thanks to John Stagliano. nrnBest European Actor, newcomer went to Titof. Best American Actor went to Randy Spears for Devil in Miss Jones 6, distributed by Blue One. Best European Actor was Ian Scott for L'Emerdeuse. Scott credited Christophe Clark for providing inspiration to him. Best American Actress was Stacy Valentine for DMJ 6. She thanked Hot Video and David Chryso; VCA and Blue One, particularly Antonio Passolini. Best European Actress was Laura Angel. Best French actress was Dolly Golden. nrnA special achievement award was given to Ona Zee. Best New European director was Gabriel Zero. Best American director was Michael Ninn for Ritual. Best European director was Fred Coppula. AVN publisher Paul Fishbein presented the AVN award Best American Movie to Rocco Siffredi. Best DVD went to La Ruee Vers Laure, distributed by Marc Dorcel. The award for platinum movie [best-selling] went to Machos from Blue One. Best French Movie, medium budget went to La Soiree des Connes [Night of the Cunts]. Ritual also won an award for Best Special Effects.
