Bijou Theater Shines Spotlight on Rick Donovan

CHICAGO - Rick "Humongous" Donovan, known for his 10-inch penis and for famously topping Peter North early in his career, will be the subject of Bijou Theater's monthly Spotlight Series when it continues Jan. 14-16.

Each evening will begin with a short presentation about Donovan's career and background info about the film to be shown that night.

Films slated for the series are Heroes (NOVA Productions), The Bigger the Better (which includes the infamous scene with North, who used the name Matt Ramsey) and Dynastud (VCA). Heroes and The Bigger the Better, both originally released in 1984, have been restored and remastered.

Bijou Theater's Spotlight Series was launched in 2007 to highlight the works of leading models, directors and studios that have had a major impact in the gay adult industry. The series is presented on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings of the second week of each month. Each night begins at 8 p.m. with a short presentation with details on that night's film.   

Special screening tickets for the Donovan series are available for $20 and are good all three nights. Tickets may be purchased in advance or any night during the run of the series.
