According to Mike Ross: "After more than 3 months, Bank of America has denied our request to accept Master Card and Visa.
"Their official reason is two fold, with the first being that they don't have a "category for lobbyists," and as such can't figure out what we do, let alone how we bill (I told them we're like lawyers, but they don't understand).
" So, since they had no way to "judge us," they looked at our website(s). Well, low and behold, they now claim that the Secretary of State is wrong and we're not a lobby, but rather a "website," and B of A doesn't support Adult Websites. When I pointed out that it's not our main business and we don't charge for our sites, they said, "well, that's your business decision."
"What makes this ironic is two fold, first, B of A has this policy of charging $35 or $40 for "returned credit slips from Internet purchases and that I have 5 bank accounts with them... but not for long! If you paid a pledge with a Credit Card, hold tight, we'll be finding another supplier when I return. Until then, if you have an adult business, I strongly recommend that you don't do business with B of A."
